Council Approves Executive Order Banning Indoor Dining at 5 p.m. Today
The County Council today approved County Executive Marc Elrich’s Executive Order 139-20AM2 that eliminates indoor dining and provides other restrictions, effective at 5 p.m. today (Dec. 15). Outdoor dining, carry-out, delivery and drive-through food service may continue, though outdoor dining is prohibited between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. under an existing order from Gov. Larry Hogan.

Elrich to Open Public Comment Period On Draft Climate Action Plan Tonight
County Executive Marc Elrich will open public discussion of a Draft Climate Action Plan released yesterday with a virtual meeting tonight (Dec. 15) at 6 p.m., the Executive Office announced. Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart has issued a statement in response to news of a Takoma Park police officer’s arrest for sexual abuse of a minor. Citing court documents, WJLA-TV last week reported that 42-year-old Eric Mueller had been arrested in a case involving a 17-year-old female juvenile that occurred shortly before Thanksgiving.

County Library System’s MoComCon Going Virtual in 2021
MoComCon, the county library system’s annual celebration of everything related to comics, graphic novels and fandoms, is going virtual in 2021, according to an announcement on the system’s website.
