Sports Hall to Induct First Class of Honorees Tonight
The Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame will induct its first class of local honorees at 6 p.m. tonight (Friday, Sept. 13) in the Silver Spring Civic Building, the organization announced. Five athletes and one coach will be recognized during the ceremony.

“Red Grape” Wins Tomato Tasting Event
More than 250 people attended Washington Gardener Magazine’s 12th Annual Tomato Taste at the FreshFarm Silver Spring Market on Saturday, Aug. 24. Attendees tasted and voted on their favorite tomato variety. “Red Grape” took the top spot with twice as many votes as “Sun Gold” in second place.

County Announces Lineup, Schedule for Jazz Festival
