County to Expand Hours for Most Libraries to Pre-Pandemic Levels
The county libraries, with two exceptions, will expand the hours open to patrons back to pre-pandemic levels, officials announced. Maggie Nightingale in Poolesville currently is closed for a refresh and Noyes Library for Young Children in Kensington will maintain current operating hours.

Bump ‘n Grind to Open Library Kiosk on Saturday
Bump ‘n Grind will open its coffee kiosk at the Silver Spring Library this Saturday, June 26, according to a tweet posted last evening. The coffee shop and roaster is taking over the space vacated by Kefa Cafe, which decamped for the Wheaton Library last year.

Bump ‘n Grind Closing East-West Highway Location on May 26
Bump ‘n Grind will be closing its location at 1200 East-West Highway on Wednesday, May 26, according to an email announcement from owner David Fogel. The shop will move its operations to Moorenko’s Ice Cream on Georgia Avenue, and plans are still on track to open a kiosk at the Silver Spring Library.

Four Arrested in Series of Thefts, Robberies; Two Occurred in Silver Spring
County detectives with the Major Crimes Division have arrested and charged four men in connection with a series of thefts and robberies of 7-Elevens and a gas station in Montgomery County. The suspects stole large amounts of cigarettes and lottery tickets, according to police.
