County Council Seeks Applicants for Public Election Fund Committee
Due to a member’s resignation, the County Council is looking for applicants to complete a partial term on the Public Election Fund Committee, according to a press release. The committee is responsible for recommending to the council the necessary funds needed to implement the county’s public campaign finance system.

Takoma Park Releases Certified Election Results; Incumbents Win
The City of Takoma Park released the certified results of the city election, confirming that all incumbents held on to their seats. Mayor Kate Stewart turned back a challenge from Roger Schlegel by a vote of 4,083–2,386 with 29 write-in votes.

Incumbents Leading in Takoma Park Mayoral, Council Races
Incumbent Takoma Park Mayor Kate Stewart and all six current city council members are leading in races to keep their seats, according to preliminary results posted last night. Stewart was leading challenger Roger Schlegel by a vote of 2,912 to 1,561 with 18 write-in votes.
