MCASAC Joins Nationwide “Clear the Shelters” Adoption Event
The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center joined NBC/Telemundo’s nationwide “Clear the Shelters” adoption event today, reducing adoption fees for all animals by 50% from today (Aug. 23) through Sept. 19. In addition, the fee will be completely waived for any animal that has been at the shelter for more than 30 days.

Police Investigating Armed Carjacking in Silver Spring; Video Released
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department’s 3rd District are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred on Wayne Avenue in Silver Spring. MCPD has released surveillance video of the suspects and is seeking the public’s help in identifying them.
