Levine Music Appoints New President & CEO
Levine Music, which operates classrooms and studios on the second floor of the Silver Spring Library at 900 Wayne Ave., announced the appointment of a new president and CEO. Jeffery L. Tribble, Jr., the founding executive director of Washington-area non-profit The MusicianShip, will succeed Peter Jablow, who will retire after 18 years as Levine’s head.

Library Holds to Go Service to End Tomorrow at Silver Spring, Five Other Branches
The county library system’s Holds to Go service will end tomorrow (May 22) at the six libraries scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, June 1, including Silver Spring, officials announced. In addition to Silver Spring, the other five branches where the service will end are Rockville, Gaithersburg, Olney, Marilyn J. Praisner and Connie Morella.

The county will reopen six libraries, including the Silver Spring Library at 900 Wayne Ave., on Tuesday, June 1, County Executive Marc Elrich announced. The libraries will be open by appointment only for browsing and checking out materials, picking up holds, computer use, print/copy/scan services, information and circulation services only.

Bump ‘n Grind Closing East-West Highway Location on May 26
Bump ‘n Grind will be closing its location at 1200 East-West Highway on Wednesday, May 26, according to an email announcement from owner David Fogel. The shop will move its operations to Moorenko’s Ice Cream on Georgia Avenue, and plans are still on track to open a kiosk at the Silver Spring Library.
